Firearms Training

We will be conducting NRA Basic Pistol Course’s.  This firearms training course is THE NRA BASIC PISTOL COURSE, and not something that we made up.  This firearms training course includes live fire exercises, as well as classroom instruction.  The NRA Basic Pistol Course firearms training leaves students with the basic knowledge, attitude, and skills necessary to own and operate a  handgun safely.

At the conclusion of of this 8 hour course, students will have experienced and learned the NRA’s 3 rules for safe gun handling, handgun parts nomenclature, operation, and ammunition types and function.  Shooting fundamentals, range rules, and basic marksmanship principals.  Students will shoot from the bench position, as well as from a two handed position.  Students will learn how to clean the pistol, and will also gain information on opportunities for continued skill development.

The NRA Basic Pistol Course is the standard for basic firearms training.  This is a full 8-hour course, that is taught to the NRA Firearms Training Standard.  We have not come up with the curriculum based on what we think is important.  This is the actual NRA content instructed by NRA Certified Instructors.  Our NRA Certified Instructors are the most qualified instructors around.  They are current Law Enforcement Officers with vast experience.  We have Court Certified Use of Force Experts, SWAT Members, Krav Maga Instructors, POST Firearms Instructors, and instructors and experts in many other areas that we use as instructors.

  • The NRA Basic Pistol Course provides students with the following materials:
  • The NRA Guide to the Basics of Pistol Shooting Development
  • An NRA Gun Safety Rules Brochure
  • The Winchester NRA Marksmanship Qualification booklet
